As you can read from the description the main foci of this blog are Karate, Language (namely Japanese) and life in general. There will be something for everyone in this blog so please feel free to comment and provide contributions :) I am particularly interested people's opinions concerning martial arts so please, even if it's in the face of what I just posted, give a comment!
For those of you who wish to know about my Karate background, I have been studying the Shotokan branch for 12 years now. At the moment I'm a second dan black belt, and have been for seven years. I love traditional Karate and I'm very critical of sport martial arts. Recently at university I discovered a style unbeknownst to me previously, Shotokai. Since then I have switched to Shotokai Karate.
I will be providing commentaries and analysis of my training as well as the history of Shotokai in later posts. For now this is a post of introduction, so I will leave now with a goodbye and a good luck to all of my readers!
